About

Five people, five disciplines, one way of working.

The company exists because five people with very different professional backgrounds saw an opportunity to bring technical expertise, careful measurement, and disciplined operations together. This isn't a generic contractor story. It's a story about who's actually behind the work.

Why we started this

People first. Systems second. Sales last.

We kept seeing the same thing: homeowners handed recommendations they didn't understand, for problems that were never properly diagnosed. We thought there was a better way to do this — and that the people doing it should actually understand the systems they're working on.

So we built a company around five different kinds of expertise working together: trade knowledge, radon and mechanical precision, gas systems and combustion safety, commercial HVAC automation, and the operational discipline to make the whole experience reliable.

Canadian HVAC Pro official emblem

Canadian HVAC Pro operates on a simple principle: homeowners deserve clear explanations, careful measurement, and solutions that address how the whole house behaves.

K

KEVIN

HVAC & Sheet Metal

Portrait placeholder

Trade & HVAC Expertise

Kevin teaches the trade itself. That means the work starts with a real understanding of how heating, cooling, and air distribution are supposed to behave — not a guess based on what's easiest to sell.

  • Current professor of trades at Mohawk College
  • Teaches the HVAC trade and sheet metal
  • 30+ years of HVAC install and troubleshooting experience
  • Deep technical knowledge and professional experience in the skilled trades

When you spend your days teaching people how to do this work properly, you get tired of seeing it done badly.

MIKE

HVAC & Gas Technician

Commercial HVAC & Automation

Mike works on the kind of HVAC automation systems that keep entire campuses running — sequencing, controls, and diagnostics at a scale most residential techs never see. That background means he looks at a home system the same way: as something that should run reliably, efficiently, and on purpose, not by accident.

  • HVAC and gas certified technician
  • Runs large commercial HVAC automation systems for a local educational institution
  • Deep experience with building automation and controls
  • Brings commercial-grade diagnostics to residential work

When you automate a building the size of a school, you learn that comfort is engineered — not wished for.

C

CHRIS

G2 Gas Technician

Gas Systems & Combustion Safety

Chris handles the gas side of the work — piping, venting, combustion safety, and appliance installation. His G2 certification means the gas work is done to code, and his mechanical background means the whole system is installed and checked properly.

  • G2 certified gas technician
  • Deep knowledge of gas piping, venting, and combustion safety
  • Hands-on mechanical expertise across heating systems
  • Specializes in safe gas appliance installation and venting

A good gas line is one you never have to think about. A safe vent is one you never smell. Both are true when someone cares about the details.

A

ALBERT

Radon Specialist

Radon & Mechanical Expertise

Al brings a mechanical discipline built on aviation training — precision, procedure, and careful troubleshooting. Radon measurement and mitigation require exactly that, because you are working with something you cannot see or smell.

  • Radon certified specialist
  • Point person for radon measurement and mitigation
  • Graduated as an Aviation Mechanic
  • Currently working toward his G2 gas licence

An aviation mechanic's instinct is to trust the instruments, not the eyeballs.

JOSEPH

Operations & Infrastructure

Technology & Operations

Joe is not here to pretend to be an HVAC technician. His value is systems, technology, process, and reliability — making sure the company operates properly behind the scenes and that your experience as a customer is clean from start to finish.

  • 16 years in senior positions at the head office of a major bank
  • Responsible for server support teams and data centres
  • Brings operational discipline to how the company runs

Sixteen years in banking infrastructure teaches you that reliability is a choice, not a lucky streak.

Note: Credentials listed reflect what has been confirmed. No licences, certifications, or memberships beyond those stated should be assumed.

Trade expertise

Kevin teaches the HVAC trade and sheet metal. The work starts with how systems are actually supposed to behave.

Radon & mechanical expertise

Al brings radon specialization and an aviation-mechanic's discipline of precision and procedure.

Technology & operations

Joe brings 16 years of senior banking infrastructure — systems, process, and reliability behind the scenes.

Gas systems & combustion safety

Chris is a G2-certified gas technician. Gas piping, venting, combustion safety, and safe appliance installation.

Commercial HVAC & automation
